lil sugarlump

SugarLump Stationery features the art and design of Jessica Ryan. After growing up in Lexington, SC, she went to Clemson Univeristy and recieved her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Secondary Eduation. A week after graduating, she married her high school sweetheart, Benjamin. She taught school for two years and then found out that she and Benjamin were expecting their first baby!

Benjamin Johnson Ryan, Jr. (Benson) was born on June 6, 2007. He was born six weeks early due to complications and when they brought him home, he weighed 5lbs. 13 oz., just a little more than a bag of sugar. A little SugarLump.

About six months later, Jessica went with her best friend Kelli to a craft show. It had always been a dream of these two friends to go into business together one day when they were "grown up." While at the craft show, Kelli and Jessica were inspired that if other girls could start their own business, so could they! So in December of 2007 SugarLump Stationery and Blush and Bashful Baby were born! These two friends have had so much fun learning and encouraging one another in their businesses and have been blessed to be able to be stay at home with their families while doing things they love!

Through provisions from the Lord and investments from family, Jessica was able to start a design and print studio from her home in order to produce quality, unique designs and prints at a reasonable price all
the while being able to raise her little one and follow the ideals of Titus 2 which states:

"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God."

Our prayer is that Lord will use SugarLump Stationery to bless others and to share tastes of his goodness...

This is one of Jessica's first ever Doodles--
back in 1999, she drew each of these cards by hand
as thank you notes after having her appendix removed!

She was a Destined to be a Doodler!
